Viki learned the piano, violin and singing from an early age. She has performed in many orchestras and choirs, notably Hampstead Sinfonietta(!) and the National Youth Choir of Great Britain in which she took part in two World tours. She gained a BMus from Lancaster University majoring in performance, technology and conducting, and was awarded the Director of Music's Prize for her final vocal recital. She continued studying and performing at Durham University and qualified as a teacher. After teaching in England and the Bahamas, Viki moved to London to train on English National Opera's performance course, 'The Knack'. She continues to work for ENO Baylis as a vocal animateur and demonstrator. She is a founder member of Runaway Opera, Operadagio, The Singing Servers and The Singing Strings. Viki has gained a Postgraduate Diploma from Trinity College of Music, and is continuing her studies at advanced postgraduate level. Recent performances include the ‘Queen of the Night’ (Die Zauberflote) with West London Opera and ‘Gretel’ (Hansel and Gretel). In July she will be performing the role of ‘Cleopatra’ in Handel’s Julius Caesar with Runaway Opera.
