The Welsh pianist Richard Evans has performed in recital, concerto and in chamber music throughout the UK, and in Europe, including Germany, Italy, Sweden, Norway and Finland. Notable engagements have included his highly successful debut at the Purcell Room - South Bank Centre, The Falsterbonäsets International Festival in Sweden, the Barbican Centre (as part of the Schumann Revealed Series), St. Martin in the Fields, Fairfield Halls, Steinway Hall, Beethoven Piano Society of Europe, Chopin Society, Hurstwood Farm, Windsor Festival and Machynlleth Festival where he performed Bach's GoldbergVariations. This year he also performed Liszt's Piano Concerto No.1 at St Giles Cripplegate, London, and Rachmaninoff's 3rd Piano Concerto with the Lambeth Orchestra. He has also featured on HTV’s Prime Time and BBC Radio promoting the release of his successful debut CD. Richard Evans studied at the Royal College of Music under John Blakely and Dr Peter Katin.
